The city of Winsen is getting a library of its own. Located directly beside the listed historic stables, the new library will become a place of culture and encounter at the heart of the historic castle park. It replaces the previous library spaces within the stables.

Between the historic stables and the new library, an inviting courtyard will guide visitors to the entrance and create a direct connection between old and new.

Across three floors and around 2,000 square meters, the new building will offer a wide range of educational opportunities. In addition to traditional book lending, it will feature a “library of things,” audiovisual media, a makerspace for young people, and a children’s area with its own event space. A reading café with rooftop terrace with a view of the town's castle will invite visitors to linger.
