Architecture for Everyone!

Day of Architecture 2025 in Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg und Lower Saxony

Interested spectators at new elementary school in Bünningstedt

Every year, the Day of Architecture invites the public across Germany to step inside new and remarkable buildings. In 2025, Trapez took part in Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, and Hamburg.

Two recently completed projects in Bünningstedt opened their doors to visitors: the fire station and the elementary school. Our architects shared the design ideas behind both projects and stories from the planning and construction phases.

Visitors in Hittfeld (Lower Saxony) toured the renovated and redesigned upper secondary school. They gained insight into the design process—from bold structural changes to the finer details.

Meanwhile in Hamburg, the spotlight was on the next generation. As part of the PROJEKTOR program, eleven children, supported by the Trapez team, re-imagined the urban spaces around Oberhafen. With models, drawings, and a tool called the "Stadtgucker", they developed fresh perspectives and playful visions for their city. The day ended as every day should—with plenty of creativity, laughter, and ice cream.

We thank everyone who helped bring these events to life—and all the visitors who made this year’s Day of Architecture such an inspiring celebration of community and design.
